LASG To Construct, Renovate Block Of Classrooms At Three Schools In Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA

Aside the approval of the construction of a block of 18 classrooms at Lajo Junior Secondary, Lajo in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, there is also going to be construction of new classrooms and renovation in two other schools.

In addition to the construction of classrooms to replace the collapsed structure done through the community efforts, the Lagos State Government will also construct a new fence on raft foundation, school gate house and food shed.

THE IMPACT gathered that government has invited nine contractors that bided for the contract for the construction of the school facilitated by the representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), for further discussions.

The other two schools that the lawmaker also facilitated construction and renovation of classrooms and other projects for, are Reri Senior Secondary School, Offin/Oreta and Local Government Primary School/Anglican Primary School, Offin, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

While nine contractors have been invited for bidding for the Reri Senior School contract, six are bidding for the LG/Anglican Primary School contract.

At Reri Senior Secondary School in Oretta/Offin, the government will be constructing a block of 18 classrooms, renovating 6 classroomsand office with toilet, and raising of existing fence.

At the Local Government Primary School in Offin/Anglican Primary School Offin, renovation of 17 classrooms with toilets, and raising of existing fence, will be carried out.

When contacted, Hon. Aro confirmed the government’s plans to construct and renovate classrooms and other facilities in the three schools, but refused to confirm or give details detailed the contract.
